Hillary Van Wyk

I have been strumming away on my guitar since I was twelve years old. To this day, I remember watching my dad across the hall plucking away on his old classical guitar from his days in college. I asked him to help me learn a few chords and I've been at it ever since. The guitar is more of a personal accompaniment that helps me with writing songs. I really started with singing. My parents have always encouraged me to follow God and the dreams that He places in my heart. Number one, I want to worship God....always...forever. I believe that God gave me this gift to use for Him. I remember my teenage years. There were times where worshiping Him got me through the day or the night. I have since learned that when I would speak and cry out to Him, what I was doing was preparing me for a life of worship and dependency upon Him. Although He has had to work on my stubborness from time to time, now, He has given me a heart to lead others to Him and show them by His Spirit how great it is to know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord, Savior and Friend. He is with you when there is no other and loves you when love feels so far away..
