(4) ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST...your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick; under any circumstance, simply do your best and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret...THE FOUR AGREEMENTS: by DON MIGUEL RUIZ...well, i like to think that we are only the sum of our friends (which is why i love this system soo much) i live each day/night as if it were a gift to me (mostly because they are). i gained back my complete sobriety in November 1998 and to this day believe it was the greatest thing to ever happen to me. i don't believe in a specific higher being but believe that i have multiple gaurdians that watch over me. this is not the first time i have been on the earth and am always looking to meet parts of my past. i believe that if you cannot first start to help yourself you cannot rightously ask others for help you. if you are unhappy with anything in your life change it. sometimes i wonder why it is that people are always telling me that they hate their jobs. i also wonder why it is that the good finish last, why people that have the least to be proud about tend to have the most pride, why our culture is so hell bent on being different but the minute you show them how different you can be you find yourself ostrisized, why some people bitch and moan about how the media portrays us (the gays) and yet are not out to all of their family and friends. the first step in making any difference in the world and in yourself is you. i hope that if you have not already had the fortune of reaching a point along your journey where you can honestly say ..........i love my life!, that you are not far away. because my friends that is a glorious thing.
