About Me

I was brought up on the music of the Sixties - and who could fail to be influenced by the music from that period in time.

I think The Rolling Stones were the best Rock Band then and are still today for the energy in their music.
I was introduced to Soul Music at the age of 15 by good friend and current DJ Jonathan (Shay) Richardson - and was immediately hooked. Although I enjoy most styles of music (and firmly believe Bruce Springsteen's lyrics are second-to-none) - Soul is the music I listen to most of the time and without question, my passion.
Although I profess I'm not a musician, I started writing songs and getting them recorded on tape during my teens. Over the years I have written and recorded material in most music styles - and experimented in many different areas - but felt Soul was the area where my music would excel in - and thus, have concentrated my efforts in this genre.
After a brief flirtation with performing my own material live, I realised that in order to secure further bookings I would have to perform cover songs alongside my own material - at the time it just didn't feel right, so I decided to concentrate on my first love, writing.
Over the past few years I've enjoyed working alongside Musician/Producer Chris Lazenbye and writing music for some good female vocalists.
One female vocalist who has played a huge role in the development of my music is Leonie Parker. I was first introduced to Leonie - then fifteen years old - by friend and Soul fan, Diane Wood. Since then, for the past six years I have been writing for Leonie and she has performed our material at soul venues in the UK.
Glenn Gunton and Francis Tee from Real Side Records have shown faith in us - releasing 4 of our tracks - namely, 'Fool For You Lovin', 'Silly Love Games', 'Am I Losing You' and finally, 'Mister Dreammaker' - all as Double-Sided Vinyl Singles.
Although at the moment we are not well known, we have consistently managed to pick up radio plays on various commercial and soul-based stations throughout the UK, as well as receiving plays in many bars, nightclubs and soul venues nationwide - where DJ's Mark Murray, Mark Grice and Jonathan (Shay) Richardson have been real advocates of my music.
I hope you'll enjoy my very own brand of soul - and of course, the wonderful vocals of Leonie on this small playlist of unreleased material - which I will continue to update.Should you wish to get in touch, please contact me via the following media:
