"Dr. Mitch" is launching outreach into other sex and strip clubs, to be managed by a former strip club dancer. Long-term, her goal is to emphasize sex workers' rights and to encourage their independent decision making. And, she's developing harm reduction programs for sexually active adults, teens, and drug users to minimize behavioral risks to themselves and others.
In 2004 there was another HIV outbreak in the US around a talent member who brought back HIV from Brazil. Due to the constant monitoring of the talent in the US who uses the AIM monitoring system each month, AIM was able to detect HIV early enough in the exposure to have only spread to 4 persons. Today, there still only remain 17 total cases of HIV since the founding of AIM in 1998 in the Adult Entertainment Industry. The rate of STDs is holding at 2-4% of the population, which is about 80% lower than the general population in the age range of 18-25 years.
In 2005, Dr. Mitchell teamed with Doug Wightman who offered to provide expertise and an extensive data base. At this time, Dr. Mitchell decided to expand the services that AIM had been providing to the Adult Industry. AIM, being a non-profit, could not properly serve the amount of general public who are in need of using the state of the art testing that AIM provides. SXCheck.com was founded to care for the needs of the general public, and today both AIM and SXCheck are available through out the US and are growing globally.

Are You Positive that you are Negative for HIV?
The HIV test that is used in Doctors offices and free clinics is the HIV Eliza/Antibody test, which is used to detect HIV antibodys 3 to 6 months from the exporsure date.
The HIV PCR/DNA test that we offer can detect HIV virus not antibody as soon as 14 days after you have been exposed.
In the porn industry, it is recommended that you screen for HIV by PCR/DNA at least every 30 days. Often non-condom players get tested every two weeks for HIV by PCR/DNA.
