Monte Drummer/Percussionist www.myspace.com/drummermonteMonte has crafted a drumming style described as “Amazing dynamics with tastes ranging from progressive to pop rock, metal, blues, folk, jazz and everything in between.” Picking up the sticks at age 10 he was educated in orchestral, jazz and trap kit percussion applications while in public school and during two sessions at the prestigious Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Influenced by a wide range of musical genres he has written, recorded and performed with a variety of musical outfits spanning the musical spectrum. Winner of two Detroit Music Awards and recipient of the Honor Award for Distinguished Achievement in Music his senior year of High school, Monte has performed all over the Midwest at the South-By-South West Music Festival and the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. Constantly trying to evolve his musicianship he embraces new musical challenges by studying with fellow musicians while teaching private lessons to beginner and intermediate level drummers. Outside of his musical interest he is an enthusiast of cinematic arts who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Film with a Minor in Theater Arts and Communications from Eastern Michigan University. In 2007 he joined the www.Darkroomvisuals.com team as a photographer shooting weddings and various events around the Detroit area.
