Canny has been writing music and lyrics for over a decade, he taught him-self guitar @ the age of 9, started to write music and lyrics @ the age of 12, picked up other instruments along the way, he plays a bit of the bass guitar, the drums, harmonica, african drums, didgeridoo. He first got involved in human beatbox in 2002 after hearing a track from the legendary Rhazel. After practising the basics and mimicking established human beatbox artists such as Kenny Muhammed and Rhazel, he began making his own sounds and compositions and developing his own unique style. He has also released a beatbox album entitled 'NO LIMITS' out under his own lable 'FLY BY NIGHT'. In 2003 Canny was offered his first live gig in Wales - and went down a storm. The feedback from the crowd gave Canny a true taste for performing, and inspired him to refine and focus his talent further. More and more offers for live work rolled in, and he is now a regular feature on the live circuit playing promotions including Fly By Night and Twisted Beatz, and venues including The Masonic, Matisse, Cardiff SU, The Waterfront, The Celtic Blue Rock Festival, The Llan-Y-Mor, and The Fosters Surf Comp, to name just a few and has recently returned from a successful tour of France. Also trying to collaborate with as many people as he can, from D.J's to guitarists and bands, to come up with something new, that people haven't heard b4. Not just limiting himself to live performances, Canny has invested in studio equipment to further his human beatbox sound into production, and is currently busy producing his own tracks. Music has been a big part of his life ever since he can remember. Started promoting gigs in a local club called 'Matisse', himself and a m8 make up the company 'Fly By Night' and do gigs once a month with 1 floor dedicated to bands and live PA sets and the other floor dedicated to D.J's. Its all about bringing different genre's of music together in 1 place and the night aptly named 'FUSION',- the night of music with no boundaries. Since the Matisse Days FBN have moved up to the Queens Hall in Narberth, holding regular sell out events under the banner 'Fly By Night', and have made quite a name locally, and now have contacts with some of the top managers in the business, and hope to start pulling some bigger acts to the area.
