Reflections from Judy's Friends:
My memory was my fear of leaving elementary school [in 1958] to enter junior high school. One of my best friends was Judy Resnik, who was the same age as me but one year ahead of me in school. I told her of my fears of the "hoods." Judy told me to just stay away from the kids with long, greasy hair, Cuban heels and turned-up collars; and I'd be fine. She was right, and I made it through! Judy didn't date guys from our high school. She dated guys from Copley High... – by Barbara Roduner
I was good at math, so I decided to become a math major. After a year, math stopped being numbers, which I liked, and started being concepts, which I didn't. So I looked around for the most mathematics-oriented major I could switch to, and that was electrical engineering. - By Judy Resnik (1984) as told to the Cleveland Plain Dealer
She had a great sense of humor. We used to joke around all the time and Judy was right in the middle of it. - By Henry Hartsfield
She was pretty special. She lived and she worked and she played pretty hard. She wasn't perfect, she was head strong, and she always had to get her two bits in. – by Michael Coats
Judy was passionate about helping with the hearing impaired. A deaf family member allowed her to share her heart with those important to her. She always wore her I Love You [in sign language] necklace, even during her space flight. - By Charles Atkeison
...Besides the patch [below], the group even had had its own T-shirt. Judy Resnik came up with a design showing a shuttle orbiter with 35 figures in, on and around it, and with the TFNG nickname and the class' motto: "WE DELIVER". - By Jeff Hoffman, member of the Astronaut class of '78
