My empty was completely brain... Face it, I'm confused.

About Me

By now, we've all written a great deal of these "So, introduce yourself!" blurbs, so forgive me if by this point I think I'm pretty indescribable. That said...
I pride myself on being independent, but I try to stay abreast of current trends as well as hacking out my own niche. I always like to try to make people laugh by saying something funny -- or strange. I try to be comfortable as well as professional. I also try to enjoy myself as much as possible, and go out and have adventures, no matter how small, because life is short. Try me; I am nearly always in the mood for a bit of spontaneity.

My Interests

media, television, reading, movies, news, current events, shopping, theatre, the gossip of politics, the Internet, blogs

I'd like to meet:

Young professionals like myself. Local media types, who are just as jaded as I (but just as tongue-in-cheek about it, too).
A potential boyfriend? Yes, I suppose. A pro. A hard worker. A trivia fanatic. A smart cookie. A bit of a goofball. Someone with dashes of confidence but not too much -- like me.

Music:

almost anything except most country and heavy metal. I know a lot of 50's, 60's, 70's, "oldies" music. I know my share of major and obscure 80's and 90's music. I tend to lean towards pop, but will do plenty of rock. My vast spectrum of albums focuses heavily on movie soundtracks and the like because they have the best concentrations of good, listenable, singable music...

Movies:

Brazil, A Fish Called Wanda, When Harry Met Sally, Broadcast News, Happiness, The Royal Tenenbaums, Clue, American Beauty, Moulin Rouge, The Big Lebowski, Go, and many, many others

Television:

Medium, Ugly Betty, Are You Being Served?, Yes Minister, 'Allo 'Allo!, most "Britcoms" in general, Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons, Will and Grace... Too many to name. Also, when I can, Desperate Housewives, and Doctor Who.

Books:

Harry Potter, the Thursday Next series, The Tales of the City series, A Series Of Unfortunate Events (Lemony Snicket), Sellevision, Running with Scissors, and the rest of Augusten Burroughs's series of (semi-?)autobiographical books.

Heroes:

Those who stand up to authority. Like Diana Trent."You gotta have a dream to make a dream come true." --from South Pacific , as quoted by Diana Trent in Waiting For God

My Blog
