THE CRIMSON DIVINE

The story of THE CRIMSON DIVINE begins with the disbanding of its direct predecessor Germanys well-known metalcore thrashers ABSIDIA (Lifeforce Records/Per Koro) in first half of the year 2003. Right after Roland Boeffgen, founding member and orig. drummer rejoined the band. This time on guitar. The remaining parties, being Marc-A. Hartmann, Roland Boeffgen and Arne Link, continued working on new material without a pause. The goal was to achieve and create an outrageous hybrid of heavy, yet beautiful and energetic music mainly influenced by classic, melodic Thrash and Death Metal and combining this with the angst and sheer fury of todays modern Hardcore. But yet leaving the dull and cocky stereotypes of Metal and the stale and generic patterns of Metalcore and its predictable formulas of songwriting behind. Having the image of being a local death metal vocal legend and undermining this predominance with his other band, underground death metal heroes MORTIFER, within the past 10 years, it was just a natural thing for the rest of band to make Dennis Winter a part of THE CRIMSON DIVINE. His skills and vocal variety definately is a great enrichment for the band and one of THE CRIMSONs trademarks already. After commiting themselves and paying their dues to heavy music in its different forms while the better half of the last decade, it was clear to the band that this has to become something special and unique. Something that stands out, a necessity unto themselves. A test and a proof that the blood, sweat and tears of the past finally pays off. A band with songs that the members of THE CRIMSON DIVINE would listen to themselves at home. With dedication and perserverance they are working towards their goal: playing the good metal and putting their heartss blood into their music and lyrics. Obviously THE CRIMSON DIVINE are influenced, but who isn't? They pay their tribute to their heroes, but who doesn't? They are passionate about life, but don't give a fuck. They built a unit, but believe in plurality. They are philosophical and straight up bad ass rock'n'rollers. They are carrying the light towards the places that are defined through the absence of light. They are bringers of grace and architects of joy. They are the Crimson and the Divine. And they want to be heard.
