At 25, Aneury Santos, is no stranger to photography — both in front of and behind the camera lens. The strikingly handsome Dominican Republican has appeared in print ads for Levi's, Kenneth Cole, Saks, and Bloomingdales. He's a standout on the runway — having appeared in fashion shows for Kenneth Cole, Sean John and John Bartlett.A native Spanish speaker, Aneury moved to the U.S. with his family in 1992. He was scouted as a model at 17 when he also began working in front of the camera.At 19, he became assistant to New York fashion photographer Joseph Bleu who took him under his wing. There, Aneury polished his technical skills in lighting and photography. He was photographed twice by the iconic photographer Richard Avedon — for Kenneth Cole and Levi's advertising campaigns.At 25, Aneury is now shooting other models in both digital and traditional film photography. He has become astute in color management, tonal production and photographic process. His work is noted for natural lighting and his technical eye for detail.
