DANITY KANE - Hold Me DownNew duo creating a tremendous buzz in the music industry, Antea and
Anesha Birchett , having a catalytic and ground breaking chemistry, make
up the innovative writing team, “APLUSâ€. Both Detroit natives and
biological sisters, APLUS has created a solid foundation that supports their
skillful penmanship, intricately detailed vocal arrangements and second to
none vocal productions. Early in their musical matriculation, Anesha and
Antea trained classically in voice, piano, theory, composition, harp and
guitar to catapult them above and beyond what the industry at large would
ever expect! APLUS worked on a local level in search of the connection to
push their musical abilities into the ears of listeners worldwide. In October
of 2005, that opportunity arrived! APLUS was discovered by world
renowned, Grammy Award Winning producer and music industry mogul,
Rodney Jerkins. They inked a non-exclusive agreement with Rodney
Jerkins which has allowed them to collaborate with other established music
producers in the industry as well as belong to the legendary production
and writing team “Darkchildâ€
Their first placement under the Darkchild umbrella materialized while working alongside (as co-writers) Grammy Award winners
LaShawn Daniels, Fred “Uncle Freddy†Jerkins, Adonis Shropshire, and Grammy nominated Makeba Riddick, Keli Nicole
Price, and Delisha Thomas on R&B recording artist Tamia’s Between Friends (“The Way I Love Youâ€). Amidst the hands on
experience with Tamia and the Darkchild team, Anesha, the vocal powerhouse, was afforded the opportunity to sing background
vocals on numerous records featured on Between Friends. Shortly thereafter, A Plus began working with various artists such as
Brandy, Mya, Shareefa, Bobby Valentino and Megan Rochell for future album releases that would, in turn, create a significant buzz
within the music industry. At the top of 2006, Shareefa’s “Need A Boss†became A Plus’s first radio-released composition working
alongside Daniels, Thomas and R. Jerkins.
By Fall of 2006 “Need A Boss†reached 10 on Billboard’s R&B chart. During the winter of 2006, “Cry No Moreâ€, Shareefa’s second
single and yet another radio-released song, was released. In the months to follow, APlus worked, in studio, with Beyonce (bonus
track “Back Up†on B Day), EMI Gospel’s Vanessa Bell Armstrong (“Walking Miracleâ€, “Til The Victory’s Wonâ€, “Fall In Love
Againâ€, and “Watch Meâ€) and BADBOY’s Danity Kane (“Hold Me Downâ€). Shortly following these tremendous successes,
Jive/Darkchild new artist Natasha sought out A Plus for not only innovative and catchy material, but also the vocal training of Antea
Birchett. A Plus is anticipating future, radio single releases with Natasha’s first single “Hey Hey Hey†and Linda Kiraly’s “Can’t Let Goâ€
These songs have been officially released for ringtones, ringbacks and on ITunes. Over the past two years, APLUS has gained an
incredible amount of momentum and this is just the beginning!
