About Me

I am a professional Radio DJ. I have worked for the last 13 years at Oahu's best radio stations. I currently do Sports Talk Radio at Honolulu's ESPN affilliate. I am an "Ambassador of Aloha," "Beachcomber," and the "Ayatollah of Rock 'n Rolla." I love these enchanted islands, and have many good friends here. I enjoy the beach, music, and the nightlife of Hawaii.I collect Tiki, and am an amatuer photographer.I enjoy traveling, and have been to all three corners of the Polynesian voyaging triangle. Easter Island, New Zealand, and Tahiti are a few of the places in the South Pacific that I have visited. I have also traveled extensively in Europe, and the mainland United States.I have written a book (More details about that as it comes closer to being released.) that will be published in Winter 2006. Dang Delays. But well worth it!

I enjoy listening many different kinds of music, and have a wide knowledge of many different styles.Loud rock and roll bands...Metallica,Alice in Chains,Pearl Jam, I am also a big fan of the music of U2, R.E.M., Live, The Clash, Neil Finn, Dishwalla, Dave Matthews Band, Elvis Costello, The Jam, Diana Krall, Dido, Herbert Gronemeyer, Morcheeba, Coldplay, Chris Isaak, Black Flag, New Found Glory, XTC...Local bands... Don Tiki, Go Jimmy Go Henry Kapono, Missing Dave, and more.Vintage Hawaiian Music including Slack Key Guitar, and Ukulele!New and old Surf Music...The Mermen, The Chantays, the Ventures!50's Jazz and exotica artists...Chet Baker, Arthur Lyman, Martin Denny, and Stan Getz...Ok, this list could go on forever. I have a large collection, but i think you get the idea.

Movies:

I see loads of movies both new, and old. Blade Runner. Star Wars. Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Whale Rider. Rapa Nui. Fantastic Four. X-Men. 3 Stooges. Classic Noir. This list could go on forever...

Television:

MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network. When I have time...

Heroes:

Don The Beachcomber. Trader Vic. Thor Heyerdahl.
