Darkness. Total, and absolute.

About Me

Rhelm Argyle Workshop was founded in 1993 by Rich Waryan, and Minneapolis band Technicolor Dawn. Rhelm Argyle Workshop is essentially a creative landscape that exists for the furthering of original music, newly invented styles, musical intellectualism. Rich Waryan is a multi-instrumentalist with a diverse background. Musical influences span the range between Bach, Dvorak, Bartok and Stravinsky to Thelonius Monk, Ornette Coleman,Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Pee Wee Russell, and onward to Traffic, Black Sabbath (with Ozzy) John McLaughlin, John Zorn, Ween, Alice Donut, Negativland, chants, bajans, toning, and many other traditional cultural styles. Through our effort we hope to deconstruct the myth of genre by creating new music and a new "genre" known as "Bullshit" There are many ways of doing this, and one way is to create and give away new music that is not classifyable by today's standards. Experimentalism in music is one good example. In doing so, we also hope to remove the power from the recording industry and place it back in the hands of the artists. Each band/artist can and should be the sole agent for their music, and sales of their music.
