After a while…
You learn the subtle difference between, holding a hand and chaining a soul
And you learn...
That LOVE doesn’t mean leaning and company doesn’t always mean security
And you begin to learn…
That kisses aren’t contracts and presents aren’t promises
And you begin to accept…
Your defeats with your head up and your eyes ahead With grace of a good woman, not the grief of a child
And you learn…
To build all your roads on today, because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight
After a while…
You learn that even sunshine burns, if you get too much So plant your own garden and decorate your own soul Instead of waiting for someone else to bring you flowers
And you learn…
That you really can endure, you really are strong; you really do have worth
And you learn
And you learn
With every goodbye, you learn…
A lil advice about me....
I received some great & loving advice from a few people that I love & loves me back, that really made me think & put things in perspective & finally try & act on it.... "You're so detached from people you don't really know because you live & breathe the words unconditional love & true friendship. The selected few that you call "FRIENDS" are lucky because you take them to heart & are always so willing to be that shoulder when they need it; Be that confidence builder when it falls; & always Trying/Fixing someone elses sorrow & pain especially of the heart. Your always so busy being there for everyone else, that when you try/need to be there for yourself you feel guilty because you think it takes away from someone elses time. That's why you're always the one getting burned in the end! Don't always be available for everyone else, especially if you know they're not available when you want them. It's ok to say NO sometimes! It's ok to ask for help sometimes & it's Ok to let others be there FOR YOU sometimes!" So I will always be here for my FAMILY, LOVED ONES & FRIENDS as I venture out another side of an unexplored ME that's always been here, but NEVER touched.....
