I am here for Friends

About Me

the first thing you should know about me is that i play guitar like it was my religion and i like to shred (or wank, widdle, diddle, etc.). that's the main driving force in my life, and if you want to hear the fruits of my labor, you can check out my music page here .
but don't expect me to babble endlessly about it when meeting you right off the bat because there are like, 8 million guitar players in dallas (and i think like, 3 million in my neighborhood alone) and i don't want to be lumped in with probably about 7.999998 million of them. am i special? my mom would say yes, but i like to think i'm pretty normal and average. i do several things exceedingly well, but you probably wouldn't know about them until you knew me for, oh, a few months or so. i'm an excellent listener. i have PERFECTED the art of listening. you will never be able to tell that i am bored with your conversation, even when i really just want to gnaw my arm off to get away from you. haha. i am a nice guy, which of course, hinders my sex life greatly. i try not to screw people over because my conscience is a pretty vicious sumbitch. i'm a lot more intelligent than people initially think i am. must be the hair, i guess. i'm very friendly, yet somewhat quiet at times. if i know you well enough, i am prone to talking your face off and rambling about all sorts of nonsensical things. then it's your turn to pretend to be interested :)
I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

My Interests

it's all about the guitar. i have like...15 electrics and 1 acoustic that is currently on loan. i've been playing for about 14 years on and off, mostly on. i constantly strive to get better on the instrument and gush like a schoolgirl when i finally see signs of improvement. but i'm not just a wanker without a purpose, i do write and record alot. it is a slow process, but the end results are definitely worth it. one day, when i get a wild hare up my ass, i will create an artist page and upload all of my instrumental stuff. until then, just ask me and i'll be more than happy to burn a cd of tunes for you.

tekken has been an obsession for a long ass time and i've recently kicked it. was it unhealthy? i dunno, it's hard to make that assessment. i really loved playing it and have been for 8 years or so. but to be good in tekken, you really have to play a lot (at least i do) and i have a hard time justifying that much practice for a videogame. even if it is the best damn video game ever. EVER.

used to draw a lot. i cartooned, had my own comic strip (affectionately titled "the metalheads") that i ran in the alternative college newspaper. it was crass and raucous and pretty funny most of the time. one day when i get a scanner and a site, maybe i'll post what i have?

I'd like to meet:

i'm always up for meeting new people...except when i'm not. ha. no really, i'm not an approacher, but am very approachable. it's a partial gift and partial curse.
