Audrey Hepburn, some consider her, a dream, an image of perfection. She on the other hand never considered herself as 'an icon' she just saw herself as being a person who just 'did her thing'
For millions across the globe, when they see that beautiful face with the big brown eyes, just smile. Someone once said to me, who wouldn't want to be Audrey Hepburn?
and from then on I've always asked myself that. Who wouldn't?
When looking at images of her I think, she was nothing like any other icon of her time, She was small, elegant, talanted, but also she was a mother. She was a woman.
Born on May 4th 1929, she died six weeks later, but thanks to a good smack, she was brought back to earth. Appearing first on stage, she lived through the world war, and used to pass time by teaching other little girls to dance. She loved to dance, but during the years of the war, it is said that due to serious lack of nurishment it had a big affect and was told that she'd never be able to keep up with other dancers. Her first major role in Hollywood, with Gregory Peck in ' Roman Holiday ' earned her a Oscar for best actress. Audrey Got five nominations for Best Actress in the Oscars, including her most famous films, 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', 'Sabrina', 'The Nun's Story' & 'Wait until dark'. She retired from movies, to only make small comebacks to some films in 1967.
She in her later life did alot of work for UNICEF.
I decided not to write yards and yards about Audrey, instead I will offer many good sites where you can find out more informations if you would like too.
