Cal El aka Dark Kent

DJ Cal El, while studying at Miami's Florida International University, met up with Whitty Don and formed Deportees. The name being derived from the fact that neither of them were American citizens at the time. They started to play for Warehouse and University parties and eventually on Radio. There they met up with Selecta(h) AJ who became the ever popular voice of the trio. (However, his talent was not limited to mic work). From then on they have played in some of Miami's premiere parties as well as around the US, Canada and the Caribbean. They were also heavily involved in the college themed "The Rush" at the turn of the millenium.
Currently some of the group members have taken a hiatus from the party scene. Each person persuing personal ventures, whilst still maintaining their passion for music.
They have to date produced the Deportees mixed cd series "D", volumes one through nine, and their solo projects namely "Pull Up" Series, "Ultimate Dancehall", "Idle Mix" and the recently launched Soca Series "Past to Present". Also producing some of the hypest Party promo cds in Miami. They have believed in spreading the love by giving away thousands of these cds at their numerous playouts.
