Casandra Lee Chin (born December 10th in Rochester, New York) is a R&B/Reggae singer/songwriter of Jamaican and Chinese descent. Her love for music developed at an early age. Music had always been an inspiration to Casandra Lee as she grew up surrounded by the sounds of a popular DJ in Jamaica W.I. DJ Sons Jr. the Sebastian, her late father. He introduced his daughter, Casandra Lee, to the world of music.It was when Casandra Lee sang at a wedding that she was heard by producer/songwriter Paul Boutte, one of the fabulous four (Paul B., Grand Tone, E-Bass, and Vato)working at DeJalon studios, that she began recording in a studio for the first time.In September 2006, Casandra Lee opened up for Def Jam recording artist Megan Rochell at club NV in Rochester, NY. She was the headline performer for the "All Black Party"-Christmas 2006, and performed as an opening act for the "It’s Just Comedy" tour in February 2007 with celebrity comedians Mike Epps and Talent along with many more. Casandra Lee has also performed a number of times at one of Rochester’s hot spots, Venu Resto-Lounge, in the Roc Music showcase held every 2nd and 4th Wednesday night.Since the fall of 2006, the single "Keep Your Man Away From Me" has acquired heavy radio rotation at 104 WDKX (a BDS station) and was ranked number 1 in a top 10 countdown for the week; it has also been played on 98 PXY, both stations are in the New York market. The newest single, "I Want You", released in February 2007 is an R&B joint with a twist of hip-hop. The Remix for "I want you" featuring Bird (King B.I.) is now also in rotation and can be requested on 104 WDKX (585-222-0104). More recently, Casandra Lee has opened up for Reggae Artists: Lady Saw, Assassin, and Mr. Easy when performing for "Reggae at the Falls" in Rochester, NY. She was one of the featured artists in the "Motown Revue" that performed with Rochester’s hottest Jazz band Kinetik Flo. The event was presented by Rob Lee, founder of Upstate Cats Entertainment (www.upstatecats.com) and hosted by Fly Ty, president of Rockboy Street Records.
