Where you going? Nowhere!

About Me

quintessential punk rock girl all grown up, smart ass, geek girl, with an interest in music, art, movies, Edward Norton, playing dress up, reading, Marion Zimmer Bradley, movie quotes, playing Scrabble. Blond, short, chesty

My Interests

Intelligent Conversation, Reading, Music, Films, Art, Writing, Dance, Theater, Scrabble, Disc Golf, Shoes, Humor (juvenile or otherwise), Wine, Good Food, Good Friends

I'd like to meet:

Intelligent, decent, cool people with similar interests to mine and/or re-establish old friendships with those who are on here also. Not looking for dates!

Music:

Vast and Varied. Currently obsessed with Lords of the New Church. Others are: The Clash, Toy Dolls, Sisters of Mercy, Nick Cave (Bad Seeds/Birthday Party/Any really), Ramones, Drop Kick Murphys, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, The Adicts, The Damned, Black Sabbath, Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, Ella Fitzgerald, The Pogues, Foetus, Blondie, and much, much more... I appreciate good music in all forms, but will probably sing anything that is played at a wedding when drunk!

Movies:

Fight Club, Death to Smoochy, Dodge Ball, Schindlers List, Hitchhikers Guide, Spinal Tap, The Lord of the Rings - trilogy, Airheads, Little Nicky, Valley Girl, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, All That Jazz (the Bob Fosse story), Chicago, Monster House, House of 1000 Corpses, Shawn of the Dead, Pirates of the Caribbean (both, but the first more), Edward Scissorhands, Boondock Saints, Sid & Nancy, most all of Christopher Guests films and lots more. We see and own way too many films as the Mr's dad was the film critic for The Boston Globe.

Television:

Public Television mostly - Nova, Nature, Monarchy, History Detectives (depends on the show), Monty Python, Are You Being Served?, Absolutely Fabulous, Biography. Regular television - CSI, Law & Order (crime show obsessed), and if it is on "So you think you can dance" - which always cracks me up, especially all the audition shows. Fifteen years of classical training makes me feel like a judge too.

Books:

Love Marion Zimmer Bradley, read all the Harry Potter books, and looking for a new author to read. I read lots of sci-fi and/or fantasy books that we get from the Mr's mom, being that they have that first edition and rare book distribution co. and always buy collections with leftovers coming this way.

Heroes:

Can't really say at this point in my life. I would like to be as successful as my mother, without all the crazy.
