Power metal, folk metal, viking metal, symphonic metal, Scottish pirate metal. And going to gigs on a whim with no idea how to get home afterwards, that seems to have become a new hobby.
The number one answer has to be Tobias Sammet. The man's a fucking God.Next to him... anyone really. Bill Bailey would be cool, Justin Lee Collins again. Bob Cattley, Arjen Anthony Lucassen, Luca Turilli, Dan Abnett... lots of people :P
Power metal, folk metal, other light-hearted fun metal. Not death or doom or depressing metal :p
Epic fantasy films, action/comedies (like Rush Hour), sci-fi, etc. A bit of anything really. Not really into horror though.
HEROES! And Firefly, but they cancelled it. And Buffy, but they cancelled it. And Rome, but they cancelled it. And Blade, but... well, you can guess what happened to that.
Anything by Dan Abnett or Terry Pratchett, as well as various other fantasy/sci-fi books. There are loads in my "to read" list, since I don't get much time to actually read them.
Tobias Sammet, Luca Turilli and Terry Pratchett. The first because he's a God of all things, the second because he's a modern day musical genius, and the latter because he's a modern day literary genius. I would list people like Hendrix and Malmsteen, but I'm a talentless lump of shit with a guitar in my hands (or anything else for that matter :p), so they haven't exactly inspired me much, despite how much I love their work.
