i had a daydream in paris / 40 winks in rome / i nodded off in new york / and woke when i got home / i yawned and stretched in hamburg / snoozed my way round prague / felt cold and tired in moscow / all snowdrops and jet lag / they took me up to greenland / to meet the polar bear / i yawned inside my igloo / as if he wasn't there / the wonders of the andes / i watched through half shut eyes / and mummys down in egypt / i met with sleepy sighs / they dragged me round valencia / on feet of heavy lead / i found a bench in sydney / to rest my weary head / on sundays and bank holidays / when all the world's in rain / i take a daydream to paris / and walk above the seine
