OK, RAIN CAN BE BEAUTIFUL!
IT'S GREAT TO BE A DAD!
IT'S GREAT TO BE A GREAT UNCLE!
TWIN DEER IN GREEN VALLEY
It's actually the same deer who took a few steps and then pricked up her ears when I whistled. I blended the two images with photoshop.

What a burden the analytical mind can be.
We can see the masses blithely wading in the middle of the stream,
content with their beliefs, as they are told what to do and think.
They nod their heads in agreement to the same tenants
that make us question, study, ponder, pray, and then perhaps doubt.
It seems that they are in unity as the currents of doctrine
and peer pressure direct their every step.

Is ignorance truly bliss?
We think, therefore we think not.
So we struggle along the riverbed
crashing into the debris of independent observation and conclusion.
We on the rivers edge all have different beliefs
but we are ennobled by the process of resisting the easy path of the mindlessly obedient.
Reading your work Sean, makes me glad not to be among them.

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain."
---Frank Herbert - Dune
Happiness is ... getting to know your family again.
Feeling and showing acceptance and forgiveness and love.
To be loved we must show love to others.
It is far easier than we think to have unconditional love.
