Once upon a time there was a land called London where there weren't no such thing as Cover Me Baddly. Then the Goddess of Well Good Music and Entertainment approached The Mighty Cover Girls and said, "Mighty Cover Girls, don't you realise that London Land needs a night of unbridled joy and wonder involving such rock gods/pop princesses as Slade, Tiffany and the musical team behind the theme tune to Jim'll Fix It? But with all the taxes bestowed uponst London Land, the people just simply can't afford the millions of gold coins needed in order to see these top notch stars? What they need is a wonderous line up of well good London Land bands playing covers of their fave songs, whatever they may be (which they don't normally do and that, so it's properly exclusive) interspersed by excellent djs playing hit after hit of other people playing other people's covers. Go forth and make magical musical history!". And lo did She grant them magical and mysterious powers with which to wow and amaze... and they went forth and birthed up a brilliant new night called Cover Me Baddly which by decree of the gods rocked the holy month of Christmastime on Sunday 16 December at The Old Blue Last in Shore Ditch, London Land ............................................................
....................................And lo did she turn round again and said unto them Cover Girls, "the baying crowds wants more Cover Me Baddly and by jimminy you are going to let them have it... in April... And it better be as bloody great as the last one - though obviously the Cliff Richard medley can only be fully enjoyed at Christmas. But, oh glorious Cover Girls, I have faith in your superhuman abilities to rock the party - run now my lovelies for time runneth short". And lo did they indeed run off and start knitting flyers and sewing instruments for the next Cover Me Baddly extravaganza... on Thursday 10 April of this our year of 2008 at Herbal. ............................................................
