One fine cast arose in the Ypres Hardcore-Scene (H8000-area Belgium), springtime 2002.
The four founding members have a mutual history in various other bands. With One Fine Cast they developed a style in between hardcore and punk. Think Ignite; Good-Riddance; Shelter& Y.O.T., Propagandhi, Strike Anywhere, Death by Stereo, ... . At the end of 2002 One Fine Cast went in the studio to record a first demo. The demo contains six songs. 2003 was a fantastic year for the band. They played a lot shows, from small clubs to the great Yperfest. It was a huge experience we were very proud of. They also played with several great bands as Congress, Liar, .Calibre, All out War, Integrity, Pn, Undeclinable,.... 2004,we thought the time was right to release something new. We went to De Studio in Asse, where we made a 5song mcd. We are very proud with the result. Big thanks to Dirk Miers (mixing + mastering) and x3sx (circle/setup- guest vocals). Hopefully this mcd opens new possibilities for the band in the future.
Somewhere in the beginning of 2005, One Fine Cast was looking for a second guitarplayer. He was found in the person of Filip, former guitar player in Empathy.
In November 2005 One Fine Cast did their first tour through France, Spain and Portugal. This was a great experience for the the band and a motivation to word even harder. At least for some, because 2006 became a hard year for the band. Dominiek and Filip left One Fine Cast. We decided to keep playing with one guitar and try to find someone who could replace Dominiek on the bass. This was found in Isaak, an 18 years old dude who played bass for less than a year. He did it quite allright and we saw he had the capabilities of become better than good.
In february 2007 a second tour was done through Spain and Portugal.
