About Me

After thinking about it for approximately 4 seconds, I realized that what I want most in life is to make otherpeople FEEL things. I want to make everyone laugh, cry, get pissed off, scared and otherwise recognize that life isway too complicated to stay calm.

Anyway, back to my rant:

I want strangers to stare at the screen and surrender to what is being shown; to becomforted by the realization that someone else out there "gets it" just the way they do; or to be chilled by thesudden awareness that the assumptions around which they've built their lives just might be completely wrong. I lovethat power and constantly crave it.

"Genre" is only a sideeffect of good storytelling. "Style" is a safety net for directors who don't know what they want to say and how to sayit. I am not one of those. [If you haven't been able to follow this paragraph, you probably shouldn't message me.] STORIES are all that matters. Stories thatmake you feel. My goal is to get you addicted to the emotions and to the one who stirs them inside you, which isme.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I think that in a past life I was some sort of king, maybe a Pharaoh even! Sometimes I get this weird feeling like... people should be WORSHIPING me, just going crazy over me. But many people aren't. It feels wrong. I hope I can correct that before I die. And when I die, I want my bones to be used to make an ivory statue of myself.

Movies:

Great movies are ones that take advantage of all aspects of the medium (story, acting, picture, editing, effects, sound, music, emotion). Therefore, obviously the best film director in the world is Robert Zemeckis. Every movie he has ever made is freaking phenomenal.

I'm also partial to the works of Stanley Kubrick, James Cameron, Tim Burton, Taylor Hackford, Ron Howard, Sam Mendes, Michael Mann

Heroes:

• My Dad

• Bender
(from "The Breakfast Club")

• Bender
(from "Futurama")

• Anyone named "Bender"

• Angelina Jolie

• Penn & Teller

• Ryoko
(from the anime series "Tenchi Muyo!")
