»-(¯..v..¯)-» Design your MySpace with MyLook «-(¯..v..¯)-« Nefastus is a rock band formed in 1998 by brothers Bartosz and Filip Lapa. Throughout years the band had many members, but the present lineup began forming in 2000, when Ola joined the band. In 2002 Lukasz Plenikowski was added on the second guitar and a year later Wioleta Bielawska was added on bass. In 2006 their piece "Purple Clouds" was released as a part of Equilibrecords medley "We’ll Rock Your Mind Up". At the beginning of 2007, Wioleta finished her cooperation with Nefastus and in March 2007 the band started recording material for their first album. All bass tracks were arranged and recorded by band’s good friend, Dawid Bychowski, who actually plays in an English band Back2Funk. Finally, the permanent bassist of Nefastus is Lukasz Gerigk, who joined the band during recording sessions. It is also worth mentioning that the band’s special guest is Krzystof Gardulski, who added his djembe and udu sounds to some of the recorded pieces. Although Krzysztof plays mainly in his medieval music group, he can also be seen performing with Nefastus from time to time. The debut LP of Nefastus was released in Poland on 30th of March 2008. Since it is a self-release, it is available to purchase at www.nefastus.pl/kup and during concerts of the band. The band is also interested in releasing the debut album outside Poland and is looking for a label to distribute the LP in Europe and/or in USA.
