About Me

Hoogi Somerville is and always will be Hoogi Somerville. I live in an awesome spot in Northern Arizona in the middle of 40 acres of juniper and pinon pine with my husband, Shawn, three cool dogs, two cool cats, and one weird cat. I work for an organization which works to provide quality care for children from low-income families. I come from a long line of amazing people who are willing to step up and be kind to one another.

My Interests

My interests include reading voraciously, being outside doing pretty much anything, and learning new stuff.

I'd like to meet:

Pretty much anyone who comes along. Not into celebrity fawning.

Music:

Favorite music group is Crabgrass Alaska, but I also like pretty much all country music, and some reggae.

Movies:

Don't watch 'em unless my husband is out of town, then any good tear-jerker chick flick video will do.

Television:

I've been know to watch "Dirty Jobs" and even watched one whole season of "American Idol", but watch so little t.v. I'm not sure how to turn the darn thing on.

Books:

Lots and lots of them. Mostly mystery-thriller type books. Read so many that I can barely remember the titles or contents. Pure escapism.

Heroes:

Anyone who stands up for her- or himself and stretches horizons and abilities.
