About Me

I'm Bird, the den mother of ThatBirdsNest.com. ThatBirdsNest is an alternative and feminist erotica site. The site is inspired by the pin-up girls of the 1950s, and infused with the visual and intimate twists of my own photography. The nest is not just a portfolio of photos, and it's also definitely not just a random porn site.
As you may have noticed, the site is on hold indefinitely. It may be up and down periodically; but for numerous reasons, the site is on an extended hiatus. I'll say a little bit more about what ThatBirdsNest means to me, and then be on with it. (This profile morphed into being my own, far more than one for the site, a long time ago.)
The nest is a tribute to many of the stunning, smart, and sexy women I've been lucky enough to call friends and lovers, over the past few years. We're all connected in some way; whether friends, lovers, roommates, or friends of friends; we're first and foremost a community. The couples sets capture genuine emotion and sensuality. (Read: we're not faking it.) The solo sets capture unique aspects of each girls' personality and sexuality; whether she's floating in a tub filled with glittering stars, masturbating in the grass, or rocking out with an electric guitar. It's about love, it's about sex, it's about art, it's about women loving women (and loving themselves), it's about individuality, it's about reality -- and it's definitely not about plastic. You can read articles by a lot of the girls, as well as our online journals.
As a community, we're sex-positive, size-positive, trans-positive, anti-racist, anti-ableist, queer-as-fuck, and generally disgusted by any form of prejudice; from offhand homophobic remarks to blatant misogyny. Although we're a close group, forged together by open minds and big fuzzy hearts, we're also about as diverse as it gets. From body shape to skin color, from background to career, we cover a lot of ground.
One last and important thing: ThatBirdsNest is completely free of charge. It's a community art space and a labor of love, and it's also fully open to the public. If you choose to dive into the site, please do so with the utmost of respect, as we're sharing quite a bit of our personal and erotic selves -- not to mention our hard work -- without cost or question.
