Wooo!

About Me

I would like my face on a "Gyro Lady" poster.

My Interests

All you can eat buffets, overheard conversation bits, good stories, bad puns, and a nice cool glass of chardonnay.

I'd like to meet:

More people who can really spin a good yarn.

Music:

Most rock and electronic music old and new. I also like listening to baroque and world music, but I almost never do. I am no longer a big fan of big vocals...maybe "American Idol" type stylings were the end of the end. I also like quiet.

Movies:

Beautiful, colorful camp classics, and anything that is surreal but NOT scary.

Television:

I am addicted to documentaries about space and the planets. Documentaries in general, but not the ones about war. I'm all about "Big Love" and "Top Chef" this season, and I love reading the recaps of both on Television Without Pity.

Books:

I just went through a period where I read about 7 books back to back but that's over now.

Heroes:

People who are purposeful, peaceful, take risks, and teach us how to make our own lives better.

All can be ok for Britney.

I've been thinking a bit about Britney Spears. Hal brought me last weekend to some going away drinks for a couple he knows. In eulogy of the people moving away, one of the attendees quipped "well they...

Based on my most recent research.

Well, it's part of our nature to put off uncomfortable tasks. While it's trite to blog about procrastinating, I'm quite interested in the history of procrastination. It was my pleasure to do a little ...
