My name is Shervin. I was born in the city of Shiraz, southwest of Iran. Forced to escape the tyrant, fascist, cruel, violent, radical, fundamental extremist regime of Iran, ended up in Texas.I am a music fanatic and think that is an understatement. There is nothing in the world that brings pleasure to me like music. Its my life. I love nature and life. I am facinated by our universe. I lack any sort of religious faith. I have a Masters degree in Engineering and been thinking hard about going back to school for my PhD (if I can squeeze it out of me). I work in the field of Land Development. I like to learn new things, always speak my mind, and always stand for justice and fairness. I am honest, blunt, and a giving person. I am always in search for the truth, and refuse to live life in delusion. My political views tend to fall to the left, although I try to be a realist.
MY VIEWS:
I believe in myself. I believe in life before death, not life after death. I believe in justice and freedom. I believe in a world without superstitious ideology. I believe in world run based on logic and reason. I believe in a world without hatred and wars. I believe in a world where intelligent beings can rise above the narrow confines of their individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity. I believe in knowledge and education.
I am against Imperalism. I am also against the concept of Communism. I believe in a democratic form of government where the powerful and rich do not hold all powers. I believe in a government that works for the people, not the special interests of big corporations. I believe in a government where there is no force of ideology on its people and the rest of the world. I believe in a world were technology is used to make our lives better, not invent weapons of mass destruction to destroy life. No country is fit to have weapons of mass destruction, NONE !!. There are forces of nature that have brought mass extinction to species in the past, therefore, there is no reason for humans to bring about human extinction upon themselves by showing off who can make the bigger nuclear bomb that can cause bigger damage.
