About Me

I am currently recording my next album and am relocating to York soon. I will be setting up a night or 2 there and getting all my musician/DJ friends together. Also recording and playing occasionally with Bettywozere, The Sighs, Dave Oliver, The Rabbi, Neutral Sons, C John Freeborn, Jason Swindle, Trad Arr and Les Clark.
Between september 2007 and march 2008 I travelled around the world - taking in Canada, U.S.A., New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Korea and Hong Kong.
I wrote and recorded over 30 new songs whilst travelling aswell as playing various gigs and recording a whole bunch of tracks with Richard Knutson for Neutral Sons next album.
Last year I completed 4 albums with Weeping Sores, Neutral Sons, Bettywozere and The Rabbi. Set up a couple of Fuzzynoise nights with Peafish promotions, was nominated for an INDY AWARD and was described as a musical genius (?) by various people for some reason (haha!).
I live for music and creativity. I love to INSPIRE and BE INSPIRED.

The most profound musical influences before leaving school were The Transatlantics (my uncle's band in the 60s), The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Felix Mendelssohn's 'Fingals's Cave', Sex Pistols, The Clash, Two Tone movement, James Brown, Blondie, Ian Dury & The Blockheads, Prince, The Jam, Whistle Test, Bow Wow Wow, Stiff Little Fingers, John Peel's show, Barnes & Barnes 'Fish Heads', The Pogues and various obscure 60s singles.

After leaving school I discovered Talking Heads, Public Enemy, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Boogie Down Productions, Dinosaur Jr, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Boo Radleys, Teenage Fanclub, Primal Sream, Daniel Johnston, Sebadoh, Pavement, Guided By Voices, Beck....

The list could go on forever. All of the above have shaped the way I write and record music.
