About Me

Hello and welcome to the official page of BEHIND THE SCENES decor service! My name is Gwendolyn Walker, but some call me Gwen for short. I am a 25-year young free-spirited, ambitious young lady originally from Louisiana, but now a soldier stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas.I am quite honored to have The Lord bestow upon me such a talent as to assist with preparing for events in any way possible (mainly decorating). To see the expression on a customer's face - IT'S AWESOME!The feeling that overwhelms me when I assist in preparing for festivities is simply amazing! Such events include a Fashion Show, Graduation parties, Going-Away parties, Welcome Home parties, and of course Birthday parties.I believe whole-heartedly that in Jesus Name this business will become a phenomenal success! In saying this, my mission and goal is to set an atmosphere that not only looks like, but also feels like a party; an atmosphere that will that saturate a customer and his/her guests with the feeling of excitement; an atmosphere that will be incredible and unforgettable. Please feel free to view the following slideshow and remember "An incredible and unforgettable event is the result of what goes on BEHIND THE SCENES!"God Bless!

My Interests

My interests include being with my family, dancing, joyriding, skating, shopping, watching movies, listening to music, and I absolutley enjoy making people laugh by impersonating others. My sister said I'm so good at it (and believe me, in the words of Vivica A. Fox in "Two Can Play that Game", "I don't wanna toot my own horn, but uh...BEEP, BEEP"), I could be a comedian. Sometimes, I just have to laugh at myself. I'm so silly. HA HA HAA HA!!

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who wants, needs, requires, or is interested in taking on an honest, loyal, & organized young entrepreneur who is excited about the entire preparation process for events that become unforgettable! To schedule a consultation, please call (225) 303-1605

Music:

My family has a very strong musical background. First and foremost, I absolutley LOVE my Gospel music and I LOVE HARMONY! Harmony in a song can put me to sleep. I love to just meditate on it; it's like my lullaby. I also love Love Songs and some R&B music. I like R&B Artists like: My Girl - VIVIAN GREEN, Destiny's Child, Deborah Cox, Anthony Hamilton, Lauren Hill, etc. and OH, YEAH! Ya just gotta luv dat "SNAP" music!!!

Movies:

1. Anything by Tyler Perry 2. Anything Chris Tucker is in 3. Anything Vivica Fox is in (especially "Two Can Play That Game") 4. Almost anything Jim Carrey is in 5. Selena (I could watch this movie over and over again) 6. Last, but certainly not least, any movie that tell about black music artists and the struggle they went through to get to their success i.e. What's Love Got to Do With It (Ike and Tina Turner), The Jackson 5, The Five Heartbeats, The Temptations, Why Do Fools Fall in Love (Frankie Lymon), The Dorothy Dandrige Story, etc.

Television:

I like a lot of black sitcoms-old and new. In fact, I've purchased several seasons The Cosby Show, A Different World, Living Single, The Wayans Brothers, The Bernie Mac Show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Jamie Foxx Show, etc. I also like black dramas like "Soul Food" (which I also own).I also have different series of shows that I grew up on like Saved by the Bell, 227, and Married With Children.Black Comedy Shows - I just can't get enough of 'em. I love stand up comedy. My DVD case is packed with them.

Books:

I love to read books by Eric Jerome Dickey

Heroes:

The Holy Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Without whom, I would not be where I am today.I don't know if "Hero" is the word I'd used, but I most definitly honor, love, adore, respect and acknowledge my loving mother, my grandmother, all of my brothers and sisters, my spiritual parents and church family.
