I like old lost things like ancient vinyls of bands noone remembers anymore, Freemason handbooks from the 50s, old photo albums, stuff like that... I also love traveling. I feel more alive when I'm traveling than any other time in my life. I have been on brief trips to France, England, both sides of Canada and Japan (2x). My brother met his wife in South Korea, so I have been there (Seoul specifically) five times and plan to go many more. There is a beautiful innocence to it and the people are amazing (I marveled at very young children out on the playground alone after 10pm downtown in a major city). It is my favorite place in the world, despite the dismal oppression that looms above (N. Korea). I also lived in Spain for a summer in Madrid, Salamanca, and Puerto de Santa Maria. I have been to all corners of the great USA and to all the major cities. I've lived in various places in my life: I was born in Denver CO, then was a lil sprout in New Hampshire, then grew up in St. Petersburg FL, then went to college in Birmingham AL, and am now in Dallas TX. I guess you could call that extended traveling.I like art that is daring or edgy without being intentionally, heavy-handedly offensive or just too damn abstract or minimalistic (aka, I love HR Giger and Joel Peter Witkin, but don't see anything in Maplethorpe or the Dada movement).I like people who have something different to offer amoung the cattle of mankind. Artists, thinkers, dreamers... people who don't just accept the world for what it is presented to them as, but ask 'why?'... if that makes any sense. I also like people who create... even people who create bad art, they are at least trying. I also like people who treat others around them with civility and acceptance (aka, I hate assholes, bitches and self-important bastards).I don't like what happens to people when they are given power and/or money.I don't like Paris Hilton.
you

I'm not really huge on movies, but I do like watching one every now and then... I really like the stuff I grew up watching when I was a kid like Indiana Jones, old Star Wars, Back to the Future, Tron, Goonies, Better Off Dead, etc...I also like the extended versions of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Big Lebowski, Fight Club, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Office Space, The Fifth Element, Natural Born Killers, the Matrix movies are entertaining if a bit silly, and I have a special love for the Alien movies (not counting AVP, Paul WS Anderson can go to hell).

I like nonfiction mostly.Especially what people would call 'esoteric' subject matter. The Paranormal, dreams, religion, philosophy, art, ect...As far as fiction goes, I like the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, the Red Dwarf series by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, Tolkien's work, Feist, Douglas Adams, and old 'horror' writers like Poe, Lovecraft, Shelley, etc...
