I'd rather BE a good liver, than HAVE a good liver...

About Me

Despite the failings I've endured, I know I will be happy.

The fact that even in my darkest hour, I can smile and laugh at a joke and wonder what good things will come next epitomizes my philosophy that life is never so bad you can't look forward to the next day. It's only when we look towards the sun do our shadows fall behind us.

Everything else you would like to know is probably somewhere on this page.

My Interests

I'm not even ashamed of this: I am a HUGE professional wrestling fan. I love watching it, I love going to the live events, I love buying DVDs whether they be from WWE, TNA, ROH, or even from Japan (they have to be good, obviously). Lately I've been rediscovering my love for it, and I even have been to a few local SoCal shows. It's amazing, and I can talk about it for hours.

Other than that, I'm also a big fan of drinking alcoholic beverages. I'm slowly learning a lot about wines, as well as the differences in liquors. I'm obsessed with the TV shows "24" and "Lost", and can talk about THEM for several hours.

I'm pretty much a nerd, I'd suppose. But I'm the coolest, funniest, handsomest, most charming nerd you will ever meet.

I'd like to meet:

You, you, and you. No, not you. You. Yeah ... that's it.

Oh, and I would actually kill a man to meet Natalie Portman

...and Ryan Adams, natch.

My friend Kimsta gettin' PROPOSED TO! This makes me smile. Just go to about 50 seconds into the video.

Music:

Joe F'n Firstman reigns supreme in my CD player.
Ryan Adams finishes a close second.
Blake Lewis, Garbage, John Legend, Josh Kelley, Foo Fighters, Silverchair, and just for Sara McLean: METALLICA.

Movies:

I don't have "favorite" movies. Usually I'm not that discerning, and I can find some things that I can like about a movie.

However, a GOOD or GREAT movie is simply magnificent, and the most recent GREAT movie I've seen is "Beowulf". Absolutely astounding.

Television:

I've been saying for the past six or so years now that "24" is essentially perfect television. But lately "LOST" has been impossible to beat. So far 24 is still my favorite TV show of all time, but if the next season doesn't right some of the wrongs from the previous seasons, I'm going to have to bow my head and proclaim LOST best TV show ever. Right now though, it's only 2nd best.

Pro wrestling, naturally.

Books:

Michael Crichton books.
Chuck Palahniuk books. (Lullaby is fantastic)
Dracula
Frankenstein
Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" is epic.
And various pro wrestler's autobiographies.

Heroes:

Jack f'n Bauer

Ryan Adams

Enigmatic

I like to sometimes pretend I'm enigmatic. Maybe I'm not - in fact, I think I'm most assuredly not - but I do lend some credence to the fact that most people I know and talk to every day don't really ...

"All without a second thought..."

I need to get this out while it's still somewhat fresh in my mind. Today was Mother's Day, and I started it off by surprising Carly at her work with a half-dozen red roses. She almost started crying s...
