SADOCORPSE is a NY/NJ brutal death metal band that was created in 1990/91 by guitarist and founder Evan.The main musical influences of the band at that time were Death, Autopsy, Pestilence, Morbid Angel and Rigor Mortis, along with the NY scene at the time namely Mortician, Prime Evil, Revenant, and Suffocation.The lyircal influences of the band were (and still is) horror and gore films, dark occultism and violence. After releasing an ultra limited demo, the band went into a long hiatus due to school, work schedules and artistic differences within the band. SadoCorpse has been resurrected now in 2007 with a new lineup made of scene musical veterans to unleash a modern brand of brutality, while paying homage to the Death Metal legends through time.
After several offers from different labels, SadoCorpse is proud to announce they have signed with French extreme music label Plague Within records. The debut mcd will be entitled "Galleries of Gore" and the band will enter the studio by early Fall.
