Bruno has been playing guitar since he was eleven years old. His guitar instruction began in the form of classical and flamenco training, beginning in middle school with guitar class and moving into private lessons. He has played guitar in several bands including OneOneSeven, Motive, The Fishermen, and now, Willie Strings & the Players. He also has his side project, known as TheBrunoSound. ____________________________________________________________ _______________ Bruno has always been writing music throughout his stint in bands. With TheBrunoSound, he can compose, record, perform, and release his music, no matter what the genre. Its always nice to have musical flexibility, especially without boundaries, he says about TheBrunoSound. ____________________________________________________________ __________________ I can just write about anything thats going on with me, around me, or even inside me. I can express it in a way that captures the moment and not a way that conforms to any one genre. ____________________________________________________________ _______________ Bruno is, like you couldnt tell by the name, of Brazilian descent. He used to go back to Rio de Janeiro (thats in Brazil) pretty frequently in his younger days.He is heavily influenced by the melodic stylings of Carlos Santana, Baden Powell, Tim Mahoney and Mike Einzigerand also many others. As he and his fans all agree, CAUTION! Bruno is known to arpeggiate all over the place! ____________________________________________________________ _______________ This all comes from his classical upbringing. I learned to play guitar on a nylon stringed Yamaha. Nice wide neck. It really helps to get the dexterity and fluidity in your left hand early. Switching to a steel stringed acoustic and to an electric was no problem after that. I still write a lot of my music on that classical guitar. It has served me well. ____________________________________________________________ _______________ Bruno's parents have been instrumental in his rise up the musical ladder. From taking him to and from guitar lessons when younger, to allowing his band to practice 5 nights a week in their basement, to coming to pretty much every show he plays. I wouldn't be able to be where I am now without my parents.
