About Me
A rare Appearance from DEASY (in white) with his dance partner SPECTAC (in pink).DEASY is a musician. And exotic dance instructor. He has released two albums "MUSIC IS NOT HYGIENE" (2003)and "SHUT UP AND MAKE" (2004) on the record label THE FEAR, of which he is a founding member and Director of along with technoid duo DROID+SLUG. The Fear first showed its face in 1998, as part of an influx of underground clubs into Dublin’s newly opened docklands venue, The Funnel. Running side by side with Decal’s legendary Phunk City and fledgling Bassbin and D1 nights.
Already notorious for their respective shows on Dublin’s premier underground station Power FM, founding members D.C., Droid + Slug took pirate radio to the dancefloor, working Electronica, Techno, House, Hip-Hop, Ragga and Jungle together in full-on four deck sets. In 2002, The Fear released it’s first EP, a 12†featuring electronic works from Irish artists, Deasy, Droid and Slug, and Ambulance. This was followed by the 2 albums from Deasy, both exploring and expanding the traditional constraint of sample based instumental hip-hop.
Droid and Slug continue to evolve and develop their DJng work at www.weareie.com . This year sees a return to recording activity, with the upcoming release of 2 albums from legendary Irish junglist. Naphta – ‘Grande Illusions’ and ‘Long Time burning’ both coming this summer

------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------
Deasy has been a prominent Dublin DJ for nearly 17 years, and has been behind such infamous clubs as;

------------------------------------------
* "TOAST" ,Dublins first afterhours weekend chill out club, servicing the ecstacy and LSD casualties of 1994/5/6's Dublin nightowl community with a menu of pancakes and tea along side a steady flow of pounding house and techno, dissolving into a stew of sweet soul and ambient doodles, between the hours of 'fucked up' and 'dawn'.-----------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------
* "EVOLVER" ,a straight up techno and flashing lights club in the capitals legendary and now defunct 'Temple of Sound' that dared to introduce the cutting edge of dancefloor techno as it arrived to the DJ shops of the emerald isle, and the young DJ's that volunteered to represent the future.-----------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
* "PLANET DUB" , the country's first trance+ambient club, back in the innocent days of '93, when banco De Gaia andSven Vath were something to marvel at.---------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------
* "SOUND EFFECTS" which guested the country's premier DJ's under the proviso that they only played the records they play at home, and allowed for an arts enviroment that was aided and abetted by the kung-fu/cut-up/agit-prop/superhero stylings and guerrilla performances of avant-garde theatre group 'The Soul Gun Warriors' (myspace.com/thesoulgunwarriors )-----------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------
* "RUMBLE" , his longest standing residency, now in its 9th year in the Famous 'RI-RA' nightclub of central dublin, the capital's longest standing night club, forcing a protein rich diet of heavy heavy manners down the throats of the unsuspecting audience of tie wearing fall-abouts that populate the saturday hall he governs, smacking their office chair moulded asses with the glories of Can, Fela Kuti, Yazoo, James Brown, Isolee, Phoenix , Public Enemy, Burning Spear and The Headhunters.and many, many more.*******************************************************
