Fester a.k.a. 'Fes' first experienced DJing while attending a house party in the early 80's. He saw the DJ's, with their fresh DJ gear sporting their crew name in Old English lettering, cutting it up and blending on two turntables and a mixer. It all took off from there. He practiced non-stop everyday after school and on weekends. He would eat, DJ, sleep, DJ and do it all over again the next day. He paid his dues by DJing weddings and backyard parties spinning everything from disco to new wave to hip hop to miami bass to freestyle to slow jams. Then he discovered something fresh again. The undeground. And it took off again from there. He has been rockin' the Los Angeles underground since.
He has produced many, true, old school "mixtapes" with DJ Trance (aka Jason Blakemore).
He has produced various tracks with Oscar Da Grouch on a variety of labels including Turnstyle Records and N2O Records.
He has traveled to play in Washington D.C., New Orleans, Texas, Arizona, Denver, New Mexico, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Calgary and Puerto Rico.
His range of music is very diverse consisting of Techno, Progressive House, House, Funky Breaks, Hardcore Breaks, Ravey Breaks, Drum and Breaks, Speed Garage, Old School Techno, Acid and Drum and Bass.
He has played with world famous DJ's such as Q Bert, Doc Martin, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Christopher Lawrence, Deep Dish, Bassbin Twins, Steve Loria, Jon Bishop, Ron D Core, Mr. Kool Aid, Jason Blakemore, Oscar Da Grouch, RAW, and Thee O.
