I am here for Friends

About Me

I like beautiful, tasty, petite snacks, trashy suspense novels, drawing, painting, NASCAR, weasels, badgers, all animals what are marsupial, the ocean, rivers, driving, horses, my pals and wasting shitloads of time on the computer. Oh, yeah, and Anthropology.

My Interests

School, art (but not in that pretentious way), clothes (but not in that boutiques, daddy's credit card way), going to see live music that can make me cry, writing and making things, and seeing more live music. Oh, yeah, swimming and riding my bike.

I'd like to meet:

I love people who have been through hell and can still laugh their asses off and have a good time. I also love people who love music and have eclectic tastes. I don't care if you smoke, drink and sleep odd hours, or if you are rich or poor, just be sure your sense of humor is firmly in place.

Music:

This is hard because I really love many many kinds of music and I am almost always willing to listen to somebody else's idear of good music with an open mind because you just might find a new favorite thing out there. The CD's I am wearing out right now are Bessie Smith (always), Johnny Cash's American Recordings, Billie Holiday, Merle Travis and many more.

Movies:

My true love is classic movies from every genre. I love old horror films like The Old Dark House and of course Night of the Living Dead, I also love all the Thin Man movies and Bogie. But if the truth be told, I really can find a way to enjoy myself with almost any movie. I even watched a Steven Segal movie and really enjoyed how much it sucked! Sometimes it is fun to watch shitty shit and not take yourself so goddamed seriously.

Television:

Okay, I'll admit it, Survivor is my favorite. I also heart the Simpsons, and housewifey garbage like Martha Stewart Living and the View. I know that this does not bode well for me, but at least I am honest. Oh and CSI too. Little House on the Prarie reruns are always good for a few chuckles and so are Bonanza reruns. But my fave is when they show the Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns. It is just more fun, like being a kid again when they are shown on T.V. with all the commercials and shit.

Books:

Edward Gorey, suspense novels, anything odd and southern (tell me if you know some good ones), Oscar Wilde, and Tintin.

Heroes:

Johnny Cash, my dad and my dad's boyfriend.
