Influences: mara's torment is an electronic project devoted to the exploration of emotional environments and aural landscapes. inspired by stars in the dark sky, broken hearts, long goodbyes, quiet nights, a thousand different restaurants, particular shades of black, blue and maroon and a variety of other things far too pretentious and silly for me to list here.
Sounds Like: the sounds that subway cars make on rainy days, the sound of when you're holding hands with somebody you've just met, walking on the way back to their place, the noises you hear on the morning after the night before when you're still asleep and you don't have to wake up for at least another hour, the way your cat purrs when she's happy to see you've come home after a long day away from home, the sounds of secret smiles and solopsisms and truths and lies and a million other mysteries... I'm told it also sounds like Brian Eno, Steve Roach, Numina, Lycia, and a variety of other chilled ambient darkwave artists who don't come to mind right now...
