The first Mingle and Plei party was held on July 8th of 2005 and Plei has been on the move ever since! I am amazed to see how fast Plei has grown. Plei started off as just something to do with my friends and suddenly the word spread... people invited their friends and now Plei has developed into a widely known weekly event that gives people an outlet to enjoy themselves outside of the typical "Hollywood" night life.
Plei parties have a really chill laid back vibe with over 60 games to play including casino tables such as Blackjack and Poker with dealers (but we only play with play $$ ya'll)... it's an evening you won't soon forget!
Scrap the idea of sitting in a club with your back against the wall hoping that you'll find someone cool (and down to earth) to talk to that perhaps you may want to actually see again. At Plei you'll meet a ton of people through socializing, mingling, networking, dancing, and game play.
There's something at Plei for everyone to do... It's the perfect place to get your weekend started! In addition to the game parties we also have monthly bonfires that take place at Dockweiler Beach (that start up every year in March).
Thanks for everyone who has supported Plei over the past two and a half years... it's been a great experience and I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store in the future!!

7/05/08 We celebrated the 3rd Year Anniversary Party Luau style at the Hilltop this past weekend. And boy did we celebrate! Fugly Lab was in the house giving away cosmetic products to the ladies... check them out at fuglylab.com. Many thanks to Onamia and Fugly Lab for donating all of the goodie bags! Everyone got lei'd, danced and stepped, mingled and played! Thank you to everyone who came out and made the night a huge success! DJ Kaleem rocked the turn tables and had us all grooving through the night. I'm already looking forward to the next Plei party on Saturday, July 19th at the Hilltop. If that's too long for you to stay away come out and join us this Saturday as we plei on the beach! We're having a bonfire ya'll and it's a full day event. I'll see you soon!!
5/25/08 Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate my dirty 30!! I had such a great time and it was heaven to see all of my people dancing and having fun :) If you missed out on Saturday's party you missed out of an amazing night... I got caked but it was oh so yummy!! DJ Kaleem had us all partying like rock starrahs on the dance floor and the private karaoke rooms were a hit! Hey, whatever happened to the spin the bottle game? I could only join in that one if my honey Rob was in the room :) Everyone loved the new venue and we will be back on a biweekly schedule beginning July (with a few events thrown in there between now and then). The next event is scheduled on June 14th at Hilltop and then again the following week at E3rd on June 21st. I'll see you there!
2/24/08 What an amazing night!! There were over 300 that came out in the rain to Plei! THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the event. Happy birthday to Octavia, Michelle, Carla, Mooch(ie), and all the others that celebrated their born day at Plei! We plei'd Guitar Hero and Rock Band, knocked the balls across the pool table, DJ Kaleem had us doing some steppin' on the dance floor, seats were full at the Blackjack and Poker tables, and overall we had just a good ole time. Robert and I would like to thank everyone for your continued support!
2/10/08 I want to thank everyone who came out last night to Plei! We had an amazing night dancing, socializing, and doing what we do best... plei'ing :) Happy birthday to Rosie and Erika and thanks for coming out to celebrate your born day with us! DJ Kaleem had the dance floor moving and the Soul Train line grooving. Many thanks to Rob and Rick for keeping everything running smoothly... for those of you that got there late and weren't able to get in I hope you make it out earlier next time because you missed a GREAT party! The Mardi Gras beads and masks were everywhere and and I have the pictures to prove it!! 1/27/08 Last night the rain didn't phase anything, I never knew so many people like to plei in the rain :) the venue was packed, the games were going, Guitar Hero and Rock Band were swinging, and DJ Kaleem hit the tables and had us all grooving in our seats. Thank you to EVERYONE who came out and helped make the event even more successful than the last! Thanks to Rob and Rick for keeping everything moving along with ease... we had four Aquarain birthday parties going on last night... happy birthday to all of you! It was great seeing all of the fresh faces amongst the regulars. Next month, February 9th, we're hosting our second annual Mardi Gras night at Trifecta Lounge. 1/13/08 Wow... we had an amazing night last night! For all of those that made it THANK YOU for coming out and supporting the event. The venue was amazing and you better believe we'll be back... soon! DJ Kaleem had the music on point, the casino tables were busy, the games were intense (Connect Four was out of control!! lol), and the crowd was incredible. We even had the Taboo game at least 30 people deep!! I really felt the love last night and I'm happy that everyone had such a great time (and I know cause they told me so!). We mingled, we played, we partied, and we celebrated three birthdays last night... and I even found a new hairdresser (I'll see you soon Kari!!). Thank you again for all your support!! 5/27/07 Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who came out and celebrated my birthday with me at Plei Pasadena!! I had a great time and the turn out was amazing... I appreciate all of the love (i.e. alcoholic drinks) that everyone bestowed upon me lol the sangria was mighty tasty! Much love to DJ Kaleem for keeping the music flowing all night long. The Texas Hold 'Em table was busy and Spades kept me tied to my seat a majority of the night. I may have lost at Spades (I need to teach my partner how to bid) but I won at Buzz Word!! Yeah!! 4/21/07 What can I say!! We had a GREAT time at Plei!! Thanks for everyone who came out to support! DJ Kaleem and Adrian Younge were spinning on the tables and had the Soul Train line (yes, a SOUL TRAIN LINE) in serious effect :) The Taboo game was a lot of fun (the women won, right?) not to mention the dealer at the Texas Hold'Em table was busy all night long! Looking forward to plei'ing with you all again soon!!
1/27/07 Last night we had an awesome time! Thanks to AJ who was spinning all the cuts that had us singing and dancing... can you say "old school"? I was able to pretend like I knew how to salsa dance, Raheem was attacked by his bday cake (happy birthday, sucka!), we played Buzz Word (it was my first time and I sucked at it but I love that game!!), the crowd was off the hook, and I heard a sad rumor that the men won in Taboo... really? Where the heck was I? I was pronounced the queen of "Junk in the Trunk"... *applause* thank you, thank you :) Thanks to everyone who came out for the first or their umpteenth time... the next Plei party is this Friday in Pasadena.
