About Me

The Symptoms played their last show ever on 11/2/05. Sonya has since gone on to join one of our favorite bands TARMINTS (www.myspace.com/tarmints). Josh and Number Three have gone on to form LION SIZED (www.myspace.com/lionsized) with good friend Duncan Barlow. If you liked The Symptoms, you'll love these two bands. Check 'em out.

JUNE 2005
The Symptoms will release their first full-length, "Middle Finger Romance." The album was produced and engineered by Bryan Feuchtinger at Uneven Studios in Denver and mastered by Matt Sandoski at Airshow Mastering.
DECEMBER 2004
The Symptoms were featured on Public Service Records' PS2 compilation. The collection of Denver's finest independent music also includes songs by The Czars, The Swayback, D.Biddle, Bright Channel and more.
HISTORY
The origins of The Symptoms can be traced to Athens, Ohio, where Sonya and Josh attended Ohio University and played separately in local oufits The Knives and Jet Lucas, respectively. In 2002, a chance meeting at Denver's BlueBird Theater resulted in plans to form a new band. The Symptoms played their first show in February 2003. The band welcomed ..3 (Rob Burleson to his mom), in September 2003.
In 2004, The Symptoms released a self-titled EP - six concise bursts of high-energy, danceable rock, recorded by Bryan Feuchtinger at Uneven Studios. In the spring, the band completed a West Coast tour with Denver's Hot IQs (Morning After Records). The Symptoms were ranked No. 31 out of 245 in the Denver Post's annual survey of Colorado independent music. Songs from the trio's EP are in rotation at University of Colorado's Radio 1190.
To date, The Symptoms have played with Sahara Hotnights, The Briefs, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Year Future, The Husbands, Visqueen, The Dragons, The Dollyrots, The Black Lips, El Guapo, The Flash Express, Paris Texas, The Candy Snatchers, The Groovie Ghoulies, The FM Knives, Shesus, Service Group, The Sharp Ease, The Reputation, Gore Gore Girls and Mr. Airplane Man.
