Spawned from the fiery bottom of New York City's Lower East Side, more evil than Satan himself, the metal rock-outfit BOTTOM is HQ'd in San Francisco and continues to raise Hell.
BOTTOM is a heavy, heavy rock band. Lead by mosh-head Sina, BOTTOM is volume drenched metal, built on riffs and hard-edged groove. Originally from NYC's Lower East Side, BOTTOM landed after marathon tours in San Francisco after 911.
A long road has grown BOTTOM into its most-current and carnivorous form. Van-vagabonds, BOTTOM has played over 1400 shows stateside since 1999 carving a new world order for DIY-touring bands: playing 300 shows a year, and a new town each night. Notorious road-dogs, BOTTOM invaded Europe in 2002 hitting 19 countries in a few months playing every night. On another tour blitzkrieg, BOTTOM cranked out 70+ shows in 40 odd days in Summer of 2001 tearing up the 2001 Vans' WARPed by day and headlining club after dark. Sina is BOTTOM’s lead songwriter, wordsmith, guitar hero (likened to Greg Ginn) and inspiring vocalist (Joplin, Plant, Staley). Sina’s music journey started at age two in Chicago playing violin with the Suzuki method. Moving to NYC to pursue art, Sina played in local NYC L..E.S bands (Wanna, Racer17, Speed-doe) while working as Studio Manager of The Rolling Stones Mobile for Loho Studios. Currently residing in SF, Sina’s been vocalist for deathmetal, Angrboda as well as founding member of a Zeppelin tribute act, but left to continue creating original music.
BOTTOM’s rhythm section consists of San Francisco natives, Kevin Harding (bass) and Chris Coleborne (drums). Kevin and Chris are childhood friends as well as founding members of mid-90's dirge rock band, the Pale Horse. Grandson of blues singer maiden and jazz composer gent, Coleborne has been playing drums since age eleven. Round the same time, Kevin picked up guitar after seeing a b&w Sabbath video and now plays every instrument under the sun. Kevin and Sina met while playing the death metal band Angrboda. The final piece in the mix is Chris Corona on guitar. Corona can also be seen in San Francisco outfits, Orb of Confusion and Floating Goat. Coleborne, Harding and Sina are all born within one month of each other. Corona, well, he was sent here by rocket ship.
