About Me

Formed in June of 2007, the Re-return is a mishmash of familiar faces in the Florida music scene. Singer/songwriter Ben Wilson (Gadwell Lane) and bassist Paul Suksdabals (Miners Work) started working on some new material independent of their former groups upon Wilson’s arrival to south Florida in March of 2006. Their search for a serious drummer lasted over a year, until a little online ad was answered by drummer Kyle Coss (formerly of Tababooya.) Along with fellow Tababooya bassist-turned-lead guitarist Mark Ferguson the group began to rehearse material previously written by Wilson.The resulting sound is a happy marriage of Wilson’s power-pop sensabilities, Coss’ dynamic drumming, Mammolito’s unique bass lines and Ferguson’s lead guitar genius. It’s pop, but it’s not, as the groups post-hardcore influences creep in during breakdowns and riff-heavy melodies. It’s a sound that’s new, but one we’ve all heard before. It’s the music that re-returns to your head after you’ve gotten it out. With their high-powered set the group looks to play all of Florida as 2008 moves on. Welcome. Enjoy the show.
