Band Bio
Since forming in mid 2007 in the depths of their drummers garage in quiet Clarence Town, NSW, "Velvet Rage" began to create their unique, and original brand of explosive Aussie surf punk.
In late 2007, "VR" entered the studio to churn out their debut demo, featuring three original energetic punk rock tunes with tempos well in excess of 200bpm! Their catchy pop punk anthems, with lyrics that ooze with adolescent immaturity and teen angst, have struck a chord among a steadily growing fan base.
Their explosive, break-neck live set has seen the band perform at a number of Hunter Valley indie festivals such as, "Elevation 07" and "Rockstock 08"; along with countless other events across NSW. In the few short months since the band’s first live performances, Velvet Rage have been booked to support acts such as "Guns For Glory", "Waterview", "The Friday Kill" and "Room 24".
In early 2008, VR will be again heading in the studio to lay down another collection of original punk rock tunes, for a new demo release, to be released in late May 08.
