Lucky Dan (the Village at Sandhills July 4th!!)

We Can Play Too!

About Me

Lucky Dan formed in the Summer of 2007. Frontman and guitarist, Jess Isley, is credited with bringing the group together. Bassist Dayn Chittick and Isley have been longtime friends and have performed numerous times with other bands and ensembles. Growing up playing together has created a fusion in their music that provides a unique combination instrumentally and vocally. Drummer, Will Bryan, and Isley were students in the music department at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. Their styles immediately clicked even when performing simple tunes with their cover band at Fraternity parties. “I could hear the potential for something really great when I played with Will and the last thing I wanted was to restrict it with a cover band,” recalls Isley. The band soon assembled, focusing on original rock n’ roll tunes. There’s no bling, guys in girls jeans, or frosted hair, just solid, tasteful rock n’ roll.Their influence comes not from what’s popular today, but what was popular yesterday. The style is reminiscent to Tom Petty or Cream, quick and catchy but leaving room for lots of space. Isley’s guitar playing carries the combination of Keith Richards mixed with John Mayer, while the Bonham clearly comes out of Bryan and Chittick’s style reflects a delicate John Entwistle. The hope is to turn back on today’s audience to the simple enjoyment of a song about loving a woman or beating up your boss along with one powerful groove behind it. Their live concerts are highly energetic with an open mind towards improvisation and entertaining stage antics. Every song holds and exciting moment ahead. I created my layout at KillerKiwi.net
