About Me

My name is Dayn Chittick and I am a christian. I have the most wonderful girlfriend ever, Keri Roy. I have great siblings, Josh, Jessie, and Collin. I also have the coolest parents ever, mom and dad. I work at Carrabba's Italian Grill; if it weren't for the mico's, I would have jetted from that place a long time ago. I go to the University of South Carolina where I am majoring in media arts and concentrating in audio engineering. Some day I hope to be able to start my own recording studio. I play music; specifically bass guitar, acoustic guitar, and a little vocals. Right now, I'm playing in a band with my brother and his buddies. we're working on some material so we can eventually get some gigs lined up. I'm also playing far and few between with my band "Like Father Like Son." I am currently worshiping at Columbia Crossroads. They are part of Mission Columbia which is a group of any church who wants to join that aspires to tell every man women and child in Columbia, South Carolina, The United States, and ultimately the entire world about Jesus Christ and, if they wish, help them to grow closer to him. I know that is supposedly the dream of every christian in the world, but this group of churches (which are just small parts of the one church in the world) actually works hard to do this. They have been an example to me of how to really follow what you know God wants you to do. Columbia Crossroads is great, however, I do not ulitmately follow the three men who preach on sundays, I ultimately follow Christ and He is the one who deserves the glory, not Columbia Crossroads or Mission Columbia. Christ is the one who is putting all of the ideas in our heads for how to honor him and He is the one who is blessing our church beyond total belief to accomplish everything we have! So then, I glorify God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, not the church; however wonderful the church may be.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The Venezuelans are some of the most incredible people i've ever met. I can truly say that they are family. It's amazing how God's will spreads throughout the whole world. Christians think they're different in who they follow and what denomination they are a part of, but the goal for every man, woman and child in the world to come to know Christ as their savior is the only thing that should matter to us. Please take the time to see how God is working with the Venezuelan's despite what's going on in their country with their government.

Music:

The Lfls Trio at Jammin Java.

Movies:

In the spring of 2003, three young Americans traveled to Africa in search of such as story. What they found was a tragedy that disgusted ... all » and inspired them. A story where children are weapons and children are the victims. The "Invisible Children: rough cut" film exposes the effects of a 20 year-long war on the children of Northern Uganda. These children live in fear of abduction by rebel soldiers, and are being forced to fight as a part of violent army. This wonderfully reckless documentary is fast paced, with an MTV beat, and is something truly unique. To see Africa through young eyes is humorous and heart breaking, quick and informative - all in the very same breath. See this film, you will be forever changed.
