"To Succeed, Select the Right People" -- I really believe this. The more we can exchange, share ideas, participate in each other's life projects, the more we will connect and be engaged as friends, colleagues and partners. I took me a long time to fully comprehend the above philosopy. Careers in high-performance sport, academics, and broadcast journalism all have crystallized my real passion and talent: to engage performers, innovators and educators to be greater models and inspiration to countless others. There's more to this, let's have coffee, tea or a drink -- we'll learn more about each other ;-)

My Interests

fitness/run/weights/bike/yoga, dine out/cook, read/write/meditate, films/live music/drinks on a patio/dance&clubbing/coffee, travel/hike/camp

I'd like to meet:

Someone with substance, have passion and have a sense of what they want to do in life. They should have some -- but not all -- interests in common with mine; hey, I have a keen curiosity, and want to try new things. Will you teach me? A good conversationalist is a must I think, since a lot of talking happens in a relationship -- why not enjoy the style of it! Did anyone say cuddle and chill too?

Music:

All depends on my mood, and where I am - Pop, Rock, New age, House (tribal, progressive), Electronica, Classical, JazzDelerium, Bjork, Sigur Ros, Moby, Coldplay, Enya, ABBA, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Massive Attack, Tangerine Dream, AHA, Alphaville, Crowded House, Duran Duran, Yellow, The Art of Noise, VangelisChus & Ceballos, Stephan Grondin, Stéfane Lippé, Sydney Blu, Paul Herron

Movies:

Superman, Amadeus, Star Wars, The Matrix, Kill Bill, Bourne Identity/Supremacy,

Television:

News, Current Affairs, ..aries, I have a weakness for Survivor (it's so raw, and primal). Those makeover shows (home design or personal style) are fun too.

Books:

I have tons of books in several libraries. Most I admit are non-fiction. I love fantasies and fiction, but I do live though in the real world, and it fascinates me. Many of the books are signed by the author, others marked when I bought them and how. I love writing notes in them, it's like a conversation with the author.

Heroes:

All my mentors, teachers, coaches and heroes known to me throughout my life or vicariously: Mom, Alex Baumann, Jeno Tihanyi, Mark Tewksbury, Alan Salmoni, Margaret Macneil, Pierre Elliot Trudeau, JC, Buddha, and several other philosophers from around the world -- too many to name...

My Blog

MY FRIEND, MY TEACHER: the good, the bad, the ugly.

With one sweep my desktop is entirely void of a huge pile of clutter. It's a move I saw my friend Matthew do once. He'd then stuff the gargantuan blob into a drawer. That second part though I've adapt...

Com'on Make a Move on Me & Toronto-ism: the disease of shyness and fear
