Hi. I´m Michael Klemmé and I grew up in a small town in mid Sweden called Östersund. I have always been singing, but I began playing guitar when I was about 12 - and that´s when I started my first band. I remember we only did Beatles songs - mainly because I wanted it that way - and it was my band...he he. I began playing professionally about 15 years ago and have since played with some of Swedens greats... ( Lucky me ; ) ) I have found myself in a number of odd and fun constellations - touring in the carribeans with a reggae band, having a major part in a flamenco musical, touring with a hard rock band etcetera. Nowadays I´m performing in my own name instead of backing up someone else. Singing and playing guitars and bass in a little pop group called Marmalade Souls - put toghether by Johanna Klemmé and myself. Our debut album called " In Stereo" was released in september -07 by American label Rainbow Quartz. As songwriter, I mainly work together with Johanna, and so far we have only written for Marmalade Souls - but lately we have been asked to write for other established artists as well. Eventhough MS is taking a lot of my so called "musical time" - I also find time for side projects together with my friends. We have just put together a little ska band - "THE STOMPTONES" - playing some of the great "hits" of the 60s ska scene. Feel free to check us out by clicking the icon below.
