DYNAMICAL

About Me

Hope.Losthope began in 2004 when Mike Tallmadge decided to take his bedroom songs to the next level. He met David Kent through mutual friends and the two began working on songs together. They quickly developed a style that relied heavily on vocal melodies, and two different, yet distinct guitar sounds. Before long they were hitting local clubs and bars to test out the new material. One by one they won over fans and began to establish a loyal following as well as making friends with some of Germany's best young bands. After a few months of local outings they decided to head to Berlin for a week long tour with a US act and an act from the UK. Once the stint in Berlin was over, as well as many more shows throughout Germany supporting the release of their self-recorded/self-produced acoustic EP, Mike and David decided that they should work on new material and head in a slightly different musical direction. Focused on a more full sound they enlisted drummer Tom Belz from Mariposa Syndrome to add more power to the already established songs. The three began working on new material and soon invited Ben Schmidt, also from Mariposa Syndrome, to play bass. And that brings us to today. The four guys are currently working on material for their debut full length cd, while at the same time playing shows that continue to prove that Hope.Losthope are not a band to be missed live!
